Featured Product: POLY-BORE

POLY-BORE™ borehole stabilizer is a 100% active (dry), free-flowing, granular polymer designed for use in drilled shaft, auger drilling, horizontal directional boring, trenching excavation and reverse circulation (RC) rotary drilling. POLY-BORE polymer is a very high molecular weight partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (PHPA) so a small quantity mixed in fresh water can provide a viscous, clear (solid-free) fluid which provides inhibition of clay and shale formations via encapsulation.

IDP Focal Point

n our organization, maximizing safety and efficiency is our ultimate goal. The Baroid IDP Technical Service (IDP Tech Serv) organization has been focusing our expertise on shale drilling stability for years, developing standardized testing procedures and, ultimately, customized drilling fluids that help us drill more safely and efficiently. Customizing our drilling processes and fluids allow us to control costs while better maximizing hole stability and solids control in the drilling of reactive shales and clays – something we would not be able to achieve with a one-size-fits-all approach. Armed with the right tools and know-how, the IDP laboratory is ready and able to meet the challenges of today’s demanding drilling industry, providing the level of service our customers expect and deserve.
